Michael Jackson The Experience, which has previously released on the Xbox Kinect and Wii, is headed to the PlayStation Vita and 3DS handheld platforms this holiday, Ubisoft announced at E3 2011. The game, which we reviewed, lets players feel the magic of the King of Pop by reliving his most iconic performances through their own singing and dancing. Michael Jackson The Experience for PS Vita and 3DS is being created from the ground up for each platform to take advantage of each one's technical capabilities. Using the tactile screen on each …

Ridge Racer Coming to PlayStation Vita

June 9, 2011 By Jonas Allen Leave a Comment
Namco Bandai logo

If only Kaz Hirai had announced this during Sony's E3 2011 press conference.... Instead, a new Ridge Racer game exclusive to Sony's PlayStation Vita handheld system was unveiled by Namco Bandai, the company that's both developing and publishing the game. Details about Ridge Racer for the PlayStation Vita are slim at this point, to the degree that Namco has said "Ridge Racer" is just a working title. However, we have a booth tour with Sony at E3 today that will focus largely on the PlayStation Vita and its games, so we may be able to sneak a …

Nintendo Wii U: Three Things That Could Hurt Nintendo’s Success

June 8, 2011 By Jonas Allen 4 Comments
Wii U Controller

Nintendo took the wraps off its Wii U console yesterday with more than a few “what?!” comments uttered quietly by the crowd. There were also more than a handful of “holy s**t!” exclamations, which has come to be expected from any Nintendo E3 press conference. Beyond those knee-jerk responses, a few longer-term questions remain not just in terms of gamers’ potential satisfaction, but in terms of their likelihood of buying the Wii U. Below are three things we’ve debated since the Wii U’s official unveiling that may hurt Nintendo’s …

Revamped Devil May Cry Trailer

The gaming world let out a collective gasp when the new Dante was revealed sometime last year, and it's nice to see that Capcom stuck to their guns and didn't change things around too much with their new vision. So feast your eyeballs on this new trailer for Devil May Cry. Keen observers may notice the white hair of Dante of past titles appearing during some special move activation...I wonder how that ties the titles together? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qhN5tS3Jt40 …

BioShock Infinite E3 2011 Trailer

June 7, 2011 By Jonas Allen 1 Comment
2K Games Logo

The first we saw of BioShock Infinite at E3 2011 was last night at Sony's press conference, but the video Ken Levine introduced was nothing short of spectacular and worth the wait. During the course of those 90 seconds, there was more in-game footage, more gunplay and more vertigo-inducing vistas than we'd seen in the past several months combined. Irrational Games has kept a pretty tight lid on BioShock Infinite information, which is probably why the sensory overload seemed so euphoric. Well, now we've got that same 90-second video footage …

More Tekken News Than You Can Shake a Stick At

Namco Bandai logo

Seriously - this post is a whole lot of Tekken. And rather than me try to make some sense of it, here's the press release on a whole as it contains a whole lot of information on Tekken full length movies, Tag Tournament details, and a whole lot more. And last but not least, Capcom has announced that Street Fighter Vs. Tekken is in development for the PS Vita, and Cole McGrath from the inFAMOUS series is a Playstation brand exclusive character.   NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc., today announced that TEKKEN® Hybrid, a collection of …
