New The Evil Within Gameplay Trailer from PAX East

The Evil Within

Fresh off the PAX East game show, Bethesda has released a new The Evil Within gameplay trailer that'll either reinforce why you can't wait for The Evil Within release date in August or make you scramble to pre-order the game immediately. If you're in the latter group, here's the pre-order link from Amazon. The Evil Within gameplay trailer gives a glimpse of footage from what could very well be the best survival-horror game of the past decade. I know I can't wait for it, personally. Developed by Shinji Mikami, The Evil Within takes the … [Read more...]

Strike Suit Zero: Director’s Cut Available on PS4, Xbox One

PlayStation 4 - PS4

Strike Suit Zero: Director's Cut is now available for download on PS4 and Xbox One in addition to Windows PC. The game is part 'mech game, part space-combat game and all intense, judging by the official game trailer. Not sure I dig the music choice, but the action itself looks sick. Strike Suit Zero: Director's Cut is available on both next-gen consoles for $19.99. It is not available at retail, so you'll have to be content downloading it via the PlayStation Store or Xbox Live. Strike Suit Zero features highly detailed mecha and spaceship … [Read more...]

Forza Motorsport 5

The best-selling racing game in the PS4 vs. Xbox One battle just got even better, and it did so for free. Microsoft has released a Forza 5 update that includes the Long Beach Circuit absolutely free. Free DLC is always a good thing, but an entire circuit rendered as beautifully as this is outstanding. Available for free as part of the latest “Forza Motorsport 5” content update, delivering tight turns and blindingly quick straights, Long Beach is surrounded by the sun-drenched beauty of southern California. Ubisoft Unveils The Crew Release Date for PS4, Xbox One

Ubisoft's The Crew

Ubisoft used E3 2013 to unveil a host of new franchises, including The Crew PS4 and Xbox One racing game. The Crew was never going to be a launch title for either system, but the wait isn't going to be even a full year after the consoles' respective launches. The Crew release date is later this fall, Ubisoft has announced. The Crew is an action-driving game that takes gamers on a reckless ride through a massive, open-world re-creation of the United States. Think of it as Need for Speed with a purpose, a nationwide race course that's also … [Read more...]

Wolfenstein: The New Order “Nowhere to Run” Trailer

Wolfenstein: The New Order reveal logo

Wolfenstein: The New Order has personality in spades, some of which comes from an unassuming place: its weapons. In the new Wolfenstein: The New Order "Nowhere to Run" trailer, that's front and center. First-person shooters often give gamers plenty of time to identify their favorite guns. Wolfenstein: The New Order will be no different. When we saw the game at E3 2013 the weapons were one of the best parts of the game, alongside an apparent re-dedication to the script and writing. It wasn't just the power of the weapons, but their … [Read more...]

Kinect Sports Rivals Review

Kinect Sports Rivals

One of the biggest selling points of the Xbox One, at least to hear Microsoft tell the story, is the console's inclusion of the Kinect 2.0 hardware. Unlike the PS4, which has an optional (e.g. "added cost" camera), the Kinect 2.0 sensor comes bundled with every Xbox One. Voice commands seemed the peripheral's primary function at launch, as only Ubisoft's Fighter Within really leveraged the Kinect's gesture-recognition at launch (and failed -- read our review). Going into this Kinect Sports Rivals review, I knew the first-party game basically … [Read more...]

Batman: Arkham Knight Batmobile Development Philosophy

Batman: Arkham Knight

Ever since Warner Bros. Interactive announced Batman: Arkham Knight, one of the features that's most fascinated gamers has been the inclusion of the Batmobile. Other vehicles in the Batman movies have been more original, but none has captured the essence of Batman more than his trusty car. Much like the recent movies, the Batman: Arkham Knight Batmobile marks a distinct split from previous outings. But this time it's not just visual. Yes, the Batman: Arkham Knight Batmobile looks new. And judging from the image above, it's looking pretty … [Read more...]

AirMech Arena Coming to Xbox Live this Summer

Xbox 360

If a free-to-play Mech game sounds like your cup of tea, Ubisoft's got a whole pot of kick-ass coming this summer. Today the company announced it will bring AirMech Arena to Xbox Live in a few short months. The game is exclusive to Microsoft, but before Xbox One-owning Titanfall fans get excited about a new, free Mech game, understand that AirMech Arena is only coming to Xbox 360. In addition, despite being billed as a "fast-paced" game, AirMech Arena is a real-time strategy (RTS) game, not a first- or third-person shooter. That doesn't mean … [Read more...]
