Splinter Cell Blacklist: An Amalgam of Tom Clancy Titles

E3 is notorious for the grand return of beloved franchises, but one return that surprised us the most is Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Blacklist. The newest Sam Fisher game was announced before E3 2012 ever began, but spending some time with it in person has reminded us just how special the franchise is. Although today's highest-profile racing games focus on cars -- Gran Turismo, Forza Motorsport, DiRT and MotorStorm -- some of the most beloved and original racing games actually had a more blue-collar feel. Going into EA's Dead Space Community Day, it was tempting to think of the new sci-fi franchise as little more than a DOOM clone. Science-fiction game set in space? Check. Horror elements? Check.
