London, United Kingdom – Ted Nash, one of the UK’s youngest entrepreneurs, is pleased to release Mum or Dad under the Liquid5 umbrella, a business venture which he has co-founded with Nick Reffit.

Mum or Dad aims to settle the age old dispute of whether a person looks more like their mother or their father in a quick and entertaining way. The app scans a photograph and then compares it to the two selected photos of the parents. The result is then delivered by using the same algorithm that powered Nash’s previous App Store hit, Fit or Fugly. Mum or Dad uses the Fibonacci Ratio to scan the parents’ faces and map their features, which are then compared with the user’s photo.
This is a quick and reliable method of finding similarities between features and determining which two faces have most in common with 100% accuracy. Users can upload photos from the image gallery on their mobile phone, from Facebook albums, or even snap a picture straight for the app. Any ongoing debate between friends or family can now be settled within seconds.
Nash became an online personality in 2010 after he launched Little Gossip, a website where users could post gossip about their classmates anonymously. The venture attracted a lot of attention from the press, as it received over 33,000 page views in the first hour. Little Gossip paved the way for two more hugely successful apps, Fit or Fugly and Rack Stare. The two brought in around 1 million in revenue with over two and a half million downloads, and Nash was dubbed a “viral hitmaker” by Wired.
Nash started his first online business when he was only 12 years old, and since then he has been tirelessly working to develop new and exciting ventures.
