Jumibe LLC today released “Wizard Orbs” for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. Wizard Orbs has players manipulate and match glass orbs to remove the orbs from the board and achieve a specific goal. Its blend of falling block and match-three gameplay is bound to intrigue fans of both genres.

As an initiate wizard, the player journeys to far-off lands to solve puzzles in an ancient game known as Wizard Orbs. Players who complete the puzzles in each land are awarded the title of Orb Master and given the opportunity to share their extraordinary accomplishment on Facebook. 120 puzzles are included in the initial release, with more to come in future updates.

In many of the puzzles, players must find not only find the matching orbs but also overcome obstacles. Stone blocks obstruct potential matches; dark stone can only be destroyed by magic; cages entrap orbs, preventing them from being switched. Players can use their magical powers to gain an advantage. Matching 4 or more orbs of the same kind produces a magic orb. Combining magic orbs with glass orbs of the same kind, or other magic orbs, unleashes devastating effects. Magic scrolls empower players to create their own magic orbs at will, banish orbs, and even stop time.

“Our goal was to create a fun, casual gaming experience that stayed fresh from the first level to the last by constantly challenging players to think in different ways. So, a strategy that worked well for the previous puzzle may not work at all for the next one,” said John Turk, President and Founder of Jumibe. “We’re so excited to make the game available to others and we hope that they will enjoy it as much as we have.”
