It has some problems when it is first rendering the game but because I think it uses peer to peer hosting results can vary.  We had some problems till I hosted the game but after that it was smooth sailing.

We found it can chug along with 4 of us but it's not lagging more skipping frames.

But there were a heck of lot enemies and they were high ranked, audio also starts off bad and gets better over time, I suspect this is more Gamespy thing then anything else.

Even with all of that it's still a heck of a lot fun to play,even the single player it's a sleeper hit for sure !

Have stuck to playing with friends vs going out into the wilds, stuff I've heard isn't pretty

Played a bit more MP and some more SP.  Both like you have said are a blast.  Less lag tonight (even had a different host) but yeah the AMOUNT of enemies esp at later levels that you get in MP is insane. 

Just killed Mad Mel in my SP.  The vehical combat is my only real annoyance in the game.  Seems like it was thrown in last second and lacks any sort of the custom elements the rest of the game has in spades.  Would be nice in the future versions to have each class contribute to the vehical (like extra guns if you are a solider, more shields if you are brick, ect..) rather than just the pick a gun, pick a paint scheme here ya go.

I found that one kinda easy.

Once you die, just hang out by the ramp and shoot rockets although he goes down super quick with machine gun fire.

Yeah even the single player is fun albeit a bit lonely as the levels are so big  Caves can be CRAZY on the second playthrough though and some bosses are stupid hard (the quest ones not the story).

Been playing by myself for the past day and a bit. Found a new bunch of quests I missed the first time round.

It's not quite PSO for the Dreamcast but it's close. There's a lot of stuff here that works and some of the sets are really nice. I really dug the locks

Level 27 now...the game is still a blast.  Just got into the Canyon missions.  Starting to get a bit more challenging now although I think solider is probably the easiest class to solo with so far. Turret when upgraded correctly is kinda OP.

Taking a breather for a week, game is like crack. Lvl is 47.75.

Gotta admit it's a great game if your sick (as I was last week) but these 16 hour marathons have to stop. I have laundry and other things to attend to 

Besides I have to get back to Yakuza 3.
