Saint Paul, Minnesota – Cinopt Studios LLC, an independent game studio based in St. Paul, Minnesota, is excited to announce today’s release of their latest game, Arlo’s Adventure 1.0, for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices. Arlo’s Adventure is an action-adventure platformer game inspired by the simple, but addictive gameplay in old school platformers. Play as Arlo the wizard, who embarks on an adventure to regain his magic powers that have been drained by an unknown, evil force.
In Arlo’s Adventure, players will go through 36 levels and collect a total of five unique magic powers to use against bandits, zombies and many more enemies. In a modern twist, magic powers are also essential to solving a variety of physics-based puzzles. Potions are also scattered throughout the game that will either increase Arlo’s speed and jump height, grant invincibility or grant health.
The graphics and original soundtrack will have players reminiscing about the golden age of platformer games. Each level is highly detailed with pixelated environments and enemies. On top of that, the 8-bit inspired soundtrack perfectly fits into the old school style of the game.
The game features 36 levels spread throughout six unique areas, such as the meadow and castle dungeon. As the game progresses, enemies and bosses become harder to defeat, providing players with an old school platforming challenge. After beating the game, players will be able to compare their game finish times with others through Game Center leaderboards.
The experience of Arlo’s Adventure is universal with iPhone/iPod touch and iPad specific controls. Players can play through the game with ease on the compatible device of their choice.
