The Cosmos a Spacetime Odyssey reboot has proven as popular as Fox executives had hoped. Judging by the number of TV viewers and the number of people choosing to watch Cosmos A Spacetime Odyssey online (us included), Americans are clamoring for a bit more reality than fiction to go with their science. Even better news, at least for those folks, is hearing that the Cosmos A Spacetime Odyssey Blu-ray set is coming in June.
Cosmos A Spacetime Odyssey will arrive on June 10 in both a Blu-ray box set and a DVD box set. Debuting two days after the epic conclusion, the Cosmos A Spacetime Odyssey Blu-ray set will hit retail stores just in time for consideration as a Father’s Day gift.

Hosted by astrophysicist Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson, Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey features every episode that’s been aired on Fox (and airs again tonight), plus a small galaxy of bonus materials. Perhaps the biggest among those bonus features is a five-part documentary about the making of the ground-breaking show.
An interactive “Cosmic Calendar,” exclusive to the Cosmos A Spacetime Odyssey Blu-ray release, will let fans also discover what connects us all and see the past, present and future of our galaxy.
The rebooted TV series is a follow-up to Carl Sagan’s original series exploring the mysteries of the cosmos and our place within it. This new 13-part adventure transports viewers across the universe of space and time, bringing to life never-before-told stories of the heroic quest for knowledge and a deeper understanding of nature.

The Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey Blu-ray will be released in widescreen 1.78:1 format and include a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track. The DVD will have the same video scale but be presented with a standard 5.1 Dolby Digital audio track. Everything else will be identical between the DVD and Blu-ray sets except for the aforementioned bonus feature.
The Cosmos A Spacetime Odyssey Blu-ray and DVD sets both have French and Spanish subtitles and have a total run time of 662 minutes.
