It may look similar to Cars, but Disney’s new PLANES movie is related merely in visual vibe, as it focuses more on an underdog airplane than a fan-favorite race car. But that visual approach is surely enough to intrigue kids and parents alike, so listen up to this news about the Planes Blu-ray release date: Disney’s letting the movie fly into retail on November 19. The movie will touch down that day on Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray, DVD, Digital HD and On-Demand featuring a cargo hold full of bonus features.
Planes follows the tale of a crop-dusting plane named Dusty with sky-high dreams. The story took the film to the top of the U.S. box office this summer, holding the #1 family movie in America four weekends in a row. After spreading its wings in theaters, Planes will soar onto Blu-ray with never-before-seen bonus features, including a musical number “Franz’s Song,” deleted scenes and some behind-the-scenes featurettes.
