Star gazers noticed last night an asteroid whiz by Earth at a surprisingly close distance. Cosmically speaking, that is. But it got us thinking: flying space rocks. Possible disaster. Life flashing before our eyes. Warner Bros. Gravity is coming out on Blu-ray 3D next week. So, in case your brain works just as randomly and had forgotten about the movie’s retail release date being so imminent, consider this your reminder.

Click here to pre-order Gravity from Amazon. Seeing Warner Bros. Gravity in 3D in the theater was nothing short of jaw-dropping. For those of us with 3D TVs at home and 3D Blu-ray players, the opportunity to capture even a bit of that same visual magic is too good to pass up. Buying through Amazon is the best route too, as the MSRP for the 3D Combo Pack is $44.95 but Amazon’s selling it for $27.99. So yeah — pre-order it now!

The Gravity Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack includes the 3D version, a 2D Blu-ray version, a DVD version and Digital HD via Ultraviolet and will ship on Feb. 25. The normal Gravity Blu-ray Combo pack ships the same day and includes all of the same minus the 3D version.

In Warner Bros. Gravity, Dr. Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock) is a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalski (George Clooney) in command. But on a seemingly routine mission, disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalski completely alone—tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the darkness. The deafening silence tells them they have lost any link to Earth…and any chance for rescue. As fear turns to panic, every gulp of air eats away at what little oxygen is left.
But the only way home may be to go further out into the terrifying expanse of space.

The Gravity Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack and 2-Disc Standard-Definition DVD Special Edition all contain the following special features:

  • Collision Point: The Race to Clean Up Space (Narrated by Ed Harris)
  • Aningaaq – A short film by Jonás Cuarón
  • Gravity Mission Control
  • Shot Breakdowns
  • Gravity: Silent Space Version
  • Sandra’s Surprise!

If you don’t grab the Blu-ray 3D or Blu-ray version of the film, Gravity will also be available for streaming and download to watch anywhere in HD and SD on their favorite devices from select digital retailers including Flixster, iTunes, PlayStation, Target Ticket, Vudu and Xbox. Starting Feb. 25, Gravity will also be available digitally on Video On Demand services from cable and satellite providers and select gaming consoles.
