Carnival Games Coming to DS this Summer

Carnival Games is headed to the Nintendo DS, 2K Play has announced, due in part to the franchise's successful debut on the Nintendo Wii (read DailyGame's Carnival Games Wii review). Carnival Games for DS is scheduled to ship this summer.

2K Play also announced that a new Carnival Games title is headed for the Wii. Called Carnival Games: Mini-Golf, the new Wii game will ship this fall.

Carnival Games for DS will include games that have been designed to take advantage of the DS control mechanism. A combination of tapping, blowing, speaking and stylus-maneuvering will let players participate in carnival favorites such as Alley Ball, Frog Leap and Dunk Tank are complemented with fresh games including RC Raceway and Clown Hammer.

Carnival Games: Mini-Golf, meanwhile, will be exclusive to Wii when it ships this fall. The game will include larger-than-life, theme park-style miniature golf courses, including such fanciful locations as a prehistoric dinosaur-themed course, a Wild West-themed golf course or one that takes place on an island full of pirates.

Carnival Games: Mini-Golf will combine traditional miniature golf fare with action-oriented game play utilizing the unique capabilities of the Wii Remote. It is designed for four players.
