Samurai Warriors 2 Xtreme Legends Hits Xbox 360, PS2

Samurai Warriors 2 Xtreme Legends is available for download now on the Xbox 360 and for retail purchase on the PlayStation 2. The Xbox 360 version of Samurai Warriors 2 Xtreme Legends requires the original Samurai Warriors 2 game disc (sold separately). The PS2 version does not.

Samurai Warriors 2 Xtreme Legends (SW2XL) is available on Xbox Live Marketplace for 2400 Microsoft Points. The PS2 version is available in retail stores.

SW2XL introduces six new playable characters to the series: Toshiie Maeda, Gracia, Motochika Chosokabe, Katsuie Shibata, Kojiro Sasaki and Yoshimoto Imagawa. It also includes a new Mercenary mode, in which players can hire other samurai to fight alongside them.

SW2XL can also be "remixed" with Samurai Warriors 2 to add new Xtreme Legends features to the original game. With the Remix feature, players can also use the characters from Samurai Warriors 2 in SW2XL.

In addition, players can play Samurai Warriors 2's Story mode, Survival mode and Sugoroku modes using the expansion's new characters. The Remix feature also increases character growth level maximums from 50 to 70, adds new charge attacks and adds a fifth weapon level to each of the original Samurai Warriors 2 characters.
