New Prince of Persia Unveiled for PS3, Xbox 360, PC
04/28/08
Ubisoft has announced that its Prince of Persia franchise will make its next-gen debut this holiday season.
This new Prince of Persia game, which will appear on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, is being developed by Ubisoft's Montreal studio, the same team behind Assassin's Creed and the previous Prince of Persia Sands of Time trilogy.
This latest Prince of Persia will open a new chapter in the Prince of Persia universe with a new breed of gameplay. Ubisoft did not provide specifics about the new gameplay, nor information about the subtitle (e.g. whether it will be a "Sands of Time" game or another experience entirely).
Ubisoft did state, however, that "the game is poised to rejuvenate the action-adventure genre in addition to introducing a brand-new illustrative art style."
Ubisoft announced it will also release a Prince of Persia game specifically designed for the Nintendo DS featuring an entirely new storyline and new characters.
DailyGame will bring you more information as it becomes available, presumably at E3 2008 in July.
