You know, there's really no shortage of good British comedy in the world, which is probably why American public broadcasting networks like to run it so often after the kids go to bed. The "after the kids go to bed" part is particularly important with some skits, including the Allo Allo series, because while the scenarios are rip-roaringly hilarious for adults, some of them might be a little hard to explain to the youngsters. The eighth season of Allo Allo includes just such scenarios, which you can see for your very own if you win one of the five DVD sets we're giving away of Allo Allo The Complete Eighth Season.

DVD synopsis: Cafe owner Rene Artois (Gorden Kaye, "Mansfield Park") is back, and so are his mischievous ways as BBC Video and the creators of Are You Being Served? bring 'Allo 'Allo! The Complete Series Eight to DVD. In this season, Rene discovers that Yvette (Vicki Michelle, All in the Game) is pregnant and decides that there is nothing for him to do but marry her. However, before he renounces his bachelorhood, Rene must retrieve a compromising photo of Lieutenant Gruber (Guy Siner, Pirates of the Caribbean) with the painting of the Fallen Madonna. Notorious for being the most wanted man in Occupied France, Rene finds himself in another awkward position when a group of rebel German officers capture him and Helga and sentence them to death. Must Rene die a second time?
