Fallout 3 Ship Date: October 28

Bethesda Softworks today announced the release date for Fallout 3, DailyGame's Best of E3 award winner. The PS3, Xbox 360 and PC game will be available on store shelves and online on October 28 in North America.

Fallout 3 will ship for all three systems in Europe on October 31.

Fallout 3 takes place in an open world a la Oblivion (which Bethesda also created, by the way) that's set more than 200 years after a nuclear war. In the game, players can create any kind of character they wish, then explore the open wastes of Washington DC however they choose.

In the game, players will do real-time battle or VATS (more RPG-like) battle against Super Mutants, Ghouls, Raiders and other dangers of the Wasteland.

DailyGame will have a full hands-on preview in the days ahead.
