First Mega Man 9 DLC Coming this Week for PS3, Xbox 360

The first downloadable content for Mega Man 9 is available this week, Capcom announced today, with the Wii owners having access to it online today. Xbox 360 owners will get the downloadable content on Oct. 7, while PS3 owners will have access to the Mega Man 9 DLC on Oct. 9.

The new Mega Man 9 content includes two new modes: Endless Attack, a mode in which gamers can test their skills on a stage that never ends as they try to break the record for getting the farthest; and Proto Man Mode, which lets gamers play the game as Proto Man, whose abilities differ somewhat from Mega Man (has has the Charge Shot ability, Power Slide ability and a shield to deflect bullets, but he takes double damage and has double bounceback when he is hit).

For the record, there is no story for Proto Man, and he is not compatible with Rankings or Challenges.
