Martian Panic Currently in Development for Nintendo Wii

The Nintendo Wii will soon get a new shooter that promises to turn every would-be John Woo film star into a living room hero. The new shooter, called Martian Panic, will be a 1950s stylized shooter that lets players dual-wield guns in the game by picking up two Wii Remotes and firing at will.

Yes, that sounds sweet.

Martian Panic has players taking on the role of humans as they fight through an intense alien invasion of Earth. As the Martian Mothership looms overhead draining energy from the Earth's core, players must save Earth before the alien Invasion Force vaporizes our planet.

Slated for release during the first half of 2009, Martian Panic will let up to four players battle simultaneously against the Martian onslaught. The game's graphics will have a 1950s comic book feel, but in a 3D sci-fi game world.
