Resident Evil Games New and Old Coming to the Wii

Resident Evil is coming to the Wii, Capcom has announced, but not just with all-new games. Capcom will actually be bringing both original and tried-and-true Resident Evil games to the Wii. And they will all appear this year.

First off, Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, the sequel to the Wii title Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, is in development exclusively for the Wii and is set to hit North American retailers this winter.

Capcom also announced plans for a new Resident Evil "Classics" line, which will bring GameCube classics Resident Evil and Resident Evil Zero exclusively to the Wii. When these games appear, they will presumably support the Wii's motion-sensitive controls, considering Capcom said the games will "allow a whole new audience to experience the world of Resident Evil."
