Spaceballs: The Totally-Warped Adventures Blu-ray Coming in June

Spaceballs is coming to Blu-ray. I repeat, Spaceballs is coming to Blu-ray. On June 16, you, too, will be saying "oh, sh!t, there goes the planet." And if you don't get that joke, then why are you reading this news article?

On June 16, MGM will release Spaceballs: The Totally Warped Edition on Blu-ray, which you can pre-order from Amazon by clicking that link you just passed over.

The film itself is intact: fearless– and clueless– space heroes Lone Starr (Bill Pullman) and his man-dog sidekick Barf (John Candy) wage interstellar warfare to free Princess Vespa from the evil clutches of Dark Helmet (Rick Moranis). However, for its release on Blu-ray, Spaceballs: The Totally-Warped Adventures will also include a collection of new satiric adventures directed by Mel Brooks that mock even more popular films and TV series, including The Lord of the Rings, Spider Man, The Pirates of the Caribbean and “American Idol.

The Spaceballs Blu-ray specs are as follows: widescreen (1.85:1 aspect ratio) on a 50GB dual-layer disc with English 5.1 DTS HD and French 5.1 DTS and Spanish 5.1 Dolby Digital -- plus the requisite English, French and Spanish subtitles. As for the special features, here you go:
