Our time with Borderlands at E3 2008 left us very impressed, and that's been more than a year ago. Imagine the polish, then, that's been put into the game's blend of FPS combat, co-op gameplay and character progression. Borderlands allows players to freely join or leave each other's games at any time. Most impressive, though, is its weapons system, which generates weapons on the fly from a "library" of possible parts, bringing the total weapon count in the game somewhere in the neighborhood of half a million.
Yes, that's a lot of guns.
