ATLANTA, May 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — MomoCon Animation and Gaming Convention – held in Atlanta on Memorial Day Weekend 2014 (May 23rd – 25th) – is proud to announce that they are hosting the First MomoCon Job Fair, focusing on careers in the gaming and entertainment industries. The job fair is presented in conjunction with The Technology Alliance of Georgia (TAG). The TAG/MomoCon Job fair will be held in the Hilton Atlanta on May 22.
The TAG / MomoCon Career Fair will be a very unique, innovative opportunity for employers, and job seekers to explore careers in the gaming and animation industries. In 2013 MomoCon hosted a standing room only panel which discussed careers in gaming. “If this panel proved anything,” said MomoCon Co-Chair Christopher Stuckey, “it is that there is a huge demand for jobs making games. We saw the need for a job fair.”
“We also recognized that Georgia has one of the fastest growing entertainment industries in the country, and since many MomoCon guests and attendees are involved with entertainment industry it was a natural extension for the job fair,” added Co-Chair and MomoCon Founder Jess Merriman.
Providing these kinds of opportunities at MomoCon has become a priority for the MomoCon Leadership. Working with TAG provided additional resources to expand the focus of job fair, and are even adding more companies right now. A few of the key companies participating are Tripwire Interactive, Hi-Rez Studios, and Funimation.
