Fans of the Missouri Tigers and Oklahoma State Cowboys are in for a double dose of goodness tonight. For starters, the No. 8 Tigers and No. 13 Cowboys face off in tonight’s 2014 AT&T Cotton Bowl for what should be a high-scoring affair. Second, FOX Sports announced today that the 2014 AT&T Cotton Bowl is the first time bowl game fans can watch Cotton Bowl game online free live streaming on the network’s own app and using the links below.

FOX Sports GO, a mobile app that’s provided live streaming video since October, will show the 2014 AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic featuring the No. 8 Missouri Tigers and the No. 13 Oklahoma State Cowboys starting with pregame coverage at 6:30 CST. The FOX Sports GO app can be used on all iOS devices and through the web. The only catch if you want to watch Cotton Bowl game online free live streaming is that the FOX app is only open to customers of participating cable providers.

The 2014 AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic will be the first FOX broadcast event to be streamed on FOX Sports GO. It makes sense to have the app’s college bowl-game debut be tonight’s Cotton Bowl between Missouri and Oklahoma State; FOX Sports has been the TV home of the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic since 1999.

Tonight’s big Cotton Bowl should be a shootout, much like the Orange Bowl, which will be on TV and online streaming just one hour later. Oklahoma State and Missouri are two of the top scoring teams in the country, with the Cowboys’ 39.8 points per game ranking them 14th in the country and the Tigers’ 39 points per game right behind them. Missouri averaged 492.9 total yards per game this season, while Oklahoma State averaged 440.5. In short: tonight’s Cotton Bowl game should light up most of the scoreboard.

Oklahoma State last played in the Cotton Bowl in 2009. This year the Cowboys enter the bowl game without a star player on offense, having alternated between quarterbacks and spread the rushing wealth between running backs Desmond Roland and Jeremy Smith. Still, Oklahoma State’s team-wide productivity is undeniable. The Oklahoma State defense is a different matter, as senior cornerback Justin Gilbert was named a second-team All-American and was one of three finalists for the Jim Thorpe Award.

The 11-2 Missouri Tigers, meanwhile, have been continually focused on offense and were ranked No. 5 in the BCS when they took on then-No. 3 Auburn in the SEC championship. Auburn won 59-42, but the game showed Missouri’s offensive mettle behind running back Henry Josey and QB James Franklin. Josey this year rushed for 1,074 yards and 13 touchdowns, leading a Missouri team that ranked 15th in the country with 3,074 rushing yards. Franklin, meanwhile, passed for 2,255 yards with 19 TDs and rushed for 474 yards and four TDs after missing a full four games with a separated shoulder.

To to watch Cotton Bowl game online free live streaming using the FOX Sports GO app, you can visit the app’s website. For fans who want to see the Cowboys take on the Tigers but don’t have the required FOX provider, you’ll have to watch Cotton Bowl game online free live via the VIP Box website, although truth be told we aren’t big fans of that site and its use of popups.
