Nintendo fans absolutely love their Super Smash Bros. Brawl, so the latest bit of news from Ubisoft will be music to millions of gamers’ ears: a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) video game is on the way for the Wii, and it’s being developed by Game Arts, the team responsible for Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii.
Scheduled for release this fall, the game will be one of the few recent TMNT releases not tied into a movie.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have been a surprise hit in the current generation of consoles, having been the subject of a popular game on Xbox Live Arcade. Time will tell whether the Wii game will have the same success, but with the developers’ pedigree and the popularity of the Wii, it’s a pretty safe bet that it will be.
