F1 racing game fans won’t be left out in the cold this fall, as Codemasters has announced that an F1 2013 game for Xbox 360 and PS3 is slated to release with two distinct editions, one of which is limited in nature. The game is part of Codemasters’ exclusive multi-year deal with Formula One World Championship Limited.
The F1 2013 game will be available worldwide in two editions: F1 2013 and F1 2013: Classic Edition. F1 2013: Classic Edition is a limited-edition, premium package that includes F1 2013, which features new classic content from the 1980s, and is expanded with further content from the 1990s and additional Classic Tracks.
The standard version of F1 2013 features all the cars, circuits and star drivers from the 2013 season, allowing gamers to race as Lewis Hamilton in his Mercedes and Sergio Perez in the McLaren-Mercedes for the first time. It also includes all of the new drivers, updated rules, tyre changes and remodelled handling to authentically reflect the challenge and exhilaration of racing 2013’s roster of Formula One cars.
The F1 2013 game for Xbox 360 and PS3 includes a range of gameplay enhancements, including split-screen and online multiplayer modes. As series fans would hope for, it also includes some returning game modes, delivering what Codemasters claims will be “the most complete Formula One experience in videogame history.” Versions of the F1 2013 game were not announced for Xbox One or PlayStation 4.
