GTA Online is one of those games that just keeps on giving. Just don’t ask some of its more-shady characters exactly what’s being given. Now one entity that’s less than shady, developer and publisher Rockstar Games, is preparing to give something of its own: a host of new Grand Theft Auto Online heists. The new GTA Online heists are part of a larger Spring Update coming to the game soon.

Coming this spring to Grand Theft Auto Online heists will be the ability for players to team-up with their most trusted Crew members — or with random other mercenaries — in cooperative Heist Missions. GTA Online heists going co-op is pretty sweet news, and according to Rockstar it’s just one part of “much more information” on the way about Grand Theft Auto Online heists scheduled for the months ahead.

The precise timing for these new GTA Online heists wasn’t divulged, but Rockstar did share some information on the timing of other new content coming to GTA Online via the Spring Update.

Coming next week, the GTA Online “Creator” community will be able to make their own original customized Capture Jobs. These jobs can be added to the 3.5 million-plus player-created Deathmatches and Races already available on Social Club. In these new Capture Jobs, players can strategically place pick-ups, define weaponry, set location and tweak tons of other variables to make their own unique Job for others to take on.

How long until somebody takes their own Capture Job and turns it into a homebrew GTA Online heist? Our over/under is about two weeks, just long enough for people to get used to the mechanics of it all.

Rockstar also took the wraps off “The High Life Update,” which will introduce new high-end apartments, a Bullpup Rifle, new wardrobe items, the Dinka Thrust motorcycle and three new cars. The fastest one for getaways? the Super class Pegassi Zentorno.

The High Life Update will also introduce the ability to own multiple properties in GTA Online. This update, long overdue, means players will be able to own two distinct properties, each with garages, at the same time.

Another cool GTA Online update is the new “Mental State” player statistic. This sounds innocuous enough, but it’s actually pretty cool. Using this new Mental State stat, players can see just how passive or psychotically unhinged other players in their game session really are. There’s also visibility into a slew of new Jobs.

In the meantime, if you’re looking for something to do before the new “official” Grand Theft Auto Online heists go live, you should use the Spring Update to try your hand at some group activities. The update now allows GTA$ payouts to be increased when completing Parachute, Races, Deathmatches and LTS Jobs with fewer than four players.
