Sony has officially launched the PlayStation Plus November 2014 free games on PSN today, giving PS4, PS3 and PS Vita owners a new batch of free games for the month. PS4 owners are especially lucky this month, and they’re getting three PlayStation Plus November 2014 free games.
Last week news surfaced that someone had leaked the PlayStation Plus November 2014 free games. The list of PS Plus free games leaked was accurate, though the leak hadn’t specified the games for Sony’s PS Vita handheld.
Now that Sony has officially announced and launched the PlayStation Plus November 2014 free games, we know the two Vita games that are available free. Better yet, at least for PS4 owners, that PS Vita list includes a cross-buy game that effectively means PS4 owners get three PlayStation Plus November 2014 free games, not two.
The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, long suspected of being included in the PlayStation Plus November 2014 free games list, is in fact now available free to PS Plus members. The game has been described as “part Legend of Zelda and part Smash TV.” As anticipated, the game is free for both PS4 and PS Vita.
PS4 owners also get SteamWorld Dig as part of the PS Plus November 2014 free games lineup. SteamWorld Dig is an interesting combination of side-scrolling Old West shooter a the 1980s arcade game Dig Dug. The “surprise” addition to the PlayStation Plus November 2014 free games is Escape Plan, which as a cross-buy title for both PS Vita and PS4 will be the PS4’s third free game for PS Plus subscribers in November.
Owners of a PlayStation 3 who are PS Plus members get two PlayStation Plus November 2014 free games. The first is an arcade shooter a la “1941” called Luftrausers, which is a cross-buy title with PS Vita. The second PS Plus free game in November 2014 for PS3 is Frozen Synapse Prime, a strategic shooter. Frozen Synapse Prime is not a cross-buy title with PS Vita, as the leaked info last week had initially implied.
In addition to the cross-buy titles mentioned above, PS Vita owners also get Hungry Horde as one of their PlayStation Plus November 2014 free games. All told, that gives PS Vita owners who are PS Plus members five free games this month.
