With the dog days of summer coming to a close, the PlayStation Plus September 2014 free games rumors are flying. What will PS4 and PS3 owners be playing for free next weekend as they wait for school to start the day after Labor Day?
That’s the question being asked by thousands of PS Plus subscribers as we enter the last week of August. And it’s not just school-aged PS Plus subscribers asking the question either. PS Plus September free games wish lists are being made by parents and single adults as well, because who doesn’t like free games?
Judging by forum posts on both the PS Plus Reddit channel and one popular PlayStation forum, PS3 and PS4 owners are expecting to see some pretty mainstream titles hit the PlayStation Plus September 2014 free games list.
Although their posts truly are wish lists — Sony won’t announce anything until late next week — it’s wise to give the predictions some thought. Last month those same communities correctly predicted Road Not Taken and Fez would be part of the PS Plus August lineup.
The possible PlayStation 4 games users predict seeing in the September PS Plus program include Awesomenauts, Binding of Isaac, Futuridium, Velocity 2X, Guacamelee: Super Turbo Championship Edition, Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, PJ Monsters Ultimate and Mousecraft.
Of those wish-list titles, Guacamelee and PJ Monsters Ultimate seem to be the most likely to his the PS Plus September 2014 free games roster. Guacamelee was part of the Xbox Games with Gold program for Xbox One in July, so seeing it do the same on PS4 isn’t out of the question.
As for the PS3, community members are hoping to see Rayman Legends, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Batman: Arkham Origins, Enslaved, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, Tales of Xillia, Final Fantasy XIII, Saints Row 4, Ni No Kuni and Soundshapes on the PS Plus free games list for September.
Of those wish-list games, Blacklist and Ni No Kuni seem the most likely, the latter of which is always on sale in the PlayStation Store and will likely end up as a free game at some point. Why not September?
When Sony announces its official list next week it will only consist of two free games for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita. The games above are truly simply gamers’ wish-list titles for free games in September. Knowing the community predicted a couple of games last month may give you reason to consider these carefully, but don’t treat them as scripture.
When a group of people wonders about a list this large, there’s bound to be some “accuracy” in the prediction anyway.
