Black Friday at retail has come and gone, and Cyber Monday is alive and well for online purchases. With that in mind, it’s only appropriate that The Witcher 3 PS4 pre-loading has launched today. No, The Witcher 3 isn’t yet complete, but if you’ve got a PS4 and are looking to pre-order the game right now, you can go right ahead and do so via the PSN Store.

Although The Witcher 3 release date isn’t until February 24, 2015, CD Projekt RED knows how enthusiastic people have become with their love for all things Wild Hunt. We, for instance, have The Witcher 3 near the top of our must-have games list for next year. So, if you share that passion, it may be nice to know that — at least in theory — you own the game months before release.
Just don’t expect to start playing it any time soon. The Witcher 3 PS4 pre-loading or pre-ordering won’t grant you access to the game any earlier than the rest of us.
North American PS4 owners can pre-order The Witcher 3 from the PSN PlayStation Store online or via their PS4 starting today.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a story-driven, open world role-playing game set in a fantasy universe. In The Witcher 3, gamers play as Geralt of Rivia, one of a dying caste of monster hunters. As Geralt, players will embark on an epic journey through a war-ravaged world that inevitably leads them to confront a foe darker than anything humanity has faced so far. That foe: the Wild Hunt.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt release date is Feb. 24, 2015, on Xbox One, PC and PS4. It appears that pre-order functionality has only launched for the PS4 at the moment. Xbox Store pre-orders don’t seem to be working quite yet.
