While people worldwide speculate on Batman vs. Superman rumors, there’s one rumor that can be put to bed with the next Batman video game. The Batman Arkham Knight release date has been officially revealed by Warner Bros. Interactive as June 2, 2015.
The Batman Arkham Knight release date is a bit puzzling, as it takes place immediately before the annual E3 trade show. Normally game publishers save their big game announcements for the show rather than release a new game, because there’s fear that any newly released game — even Batman Arkham Knight — will be overlooked and/or overshadowed by all the other news coming out of E3.
But June 2 is the real deal. Warner Bros. confirmed the Batman Arkham Knight release date via email while also detailing two new Arkham Knight collector’s editions.
The Batman: Arkham Knight Limited Edition and Batman: Arkham Knight Batmobile Edition will both be available for PS4 and Xbox One in North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. The LE version will also be available for PC, though the Batmobile Edition will only be available for the consoles.
The Batman: Arkham Knight Limited Edition ($99.99 / 119.99 € / 89.99£) will include:
- An 80-page, full-color Art Book showcasing the concept art of Batman Arkham Knight
- Limited Edition SteelBook case and game disc
- A Limited-Edition DC Comics Batman: Arkham Knight #0 Comic Book
- An exclusive character Skin Pack with three unique skins from DC Comics – The New 52
- A “Batman Memorial Statue” commemorating the Dark Knight
The Batman: Arkham Knight Batmobile Edition ($199.99 / 199.99€ / 169.99£) is the way to go. This beauty of a package will include all of the same content above except the Batman statue. Rather than the Caped Crusader, the sculpture in this package will be a fully transformable Batmobile statue by TriForce.
Batman: Arkham Knight concludes Rocksteady’s Arkham trilogy. The addition of a re-imagined Batmobile lets players tear through the streets of Gotham City whenever they’re not soaring across its skyline.
