When The Crew release date was pushed back from the launch of the PS4 and Xbox One, racing-game fans everywhere lost a bit of excitement for the next-gen consoles. Ubisoft’s now trying to bring back that energy, announcing the new The Crew release date as Nov. 11 for both consoles and PC.
You can pre-order The Crew from Amazon at this link. We recommend the Limited Edition, but that’s just because we like extra goodies.
The Crew is an action-driving MMO that takes gamers on a wild ride over a massive open-world re-creation of the United States. The concept behind The Crew is different from EA’s Need for Speed: The Run, which took place over pre-determined routes across the country.
Since The Crew is an open-world MMO it includes many more opportunities for exploration and taking-on challenges both planned by the game and unplanned by other real-world players.
A handful of gamers from around the world were recently invited by Ubisoft to form a crew and take part in an “Explore and Customize” contest. According to Ubisoft, the players “praised the huge scope of the game and the RPG mechanics behind the customization of the cars.”
With that knowledge, it may be nice to know The Crew release date is just five months away, but it’s going to be even tougher to wait knowing the game’s massively multiplayer open world is so close to completion.
The Crew will release for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A closed beta for the PC version will begin on July 23. The Crew release date for PC is identical to the PS4 and Xbox One version, though the consoles won’t have the opportunity to participate in a beta of any sort.
