Wolfenstein: The New Order has personality in spades, some of which comes from an unassuming place: its weapons. In the new Wolfenstein: The New Order “Nowhere to Run” trailer, that’s front and center.
First-person shooters often give gamers plenty of time to identify their favorite guns. Wolfenstein: The New Order will be no different. When we saw the game at E3 2013 the weapons were one of the best parts of the game, alongside an apparent re-dedication to the script and writing.
It wasn’t just the power of the weapons, but their diversity and “thought” that really struck home. The balancing, the detail, the sound. And yes, the ability to blow everything on screen to kingdom come.
Bethesda has released a new Wolfenstein: The New Order “Nowhere to Run” trailer that shows a bit of all of these things. In the trailer, B.J. Blazkowicz and the resistance must fight back against General Deathshead, and his legion of Nazi forces despite the overwhelming odds against them. The challenge: emerge victorious despite being outclassed and outgunned.
Wolfenstein: The New Order is set in the 1960s, with a monstrous Nazi regime having used mysterious advanced technology to win World War II. The Nazis now rule the globe with an iron fist, sending players across Europe on a harrowing mission to bring down the Nazi war machine.
Wolfenstein: The New Order is scheduled to release for Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on May 20 in North America, Europe and Australia. Everyone who pre-order the game will be invited to access the DOOM beta with their copy of Wolfenstein. You can pre-order from Amazon by clicking this link.
