Long before the Guitar Hero craze swept the gaming world, we were all closet rockstars. Seriously, just come out and admit it: you played air guitar in the shower just like we did, imagining yourself on stage with Bon Jovi, Guns ‘N Roses or AC/DC. When Guitar Hero hit, it was just a good excuse to bring our guitar-playing fantasies out into the open.
Well, there’s a new guitar-playing kid on the block, and its name is I Can Play Guitar (website). Inspired like all of us by the Guitar Hero games, I Can Play Guitar features not just rockin’ music, but instructional information and real chord placement too, making is both educational and fun. Heck, that also makes it a great excuse to snag one of these “for the kids” when it hits stores August 15 for $99.99.
If you’re worried about the price tag, DailyGame is here to help. We’re hosting a contest right now to let you get an I Can Play Guitar “for the kids” for free. All you have to do is send an email to [Contest is Now Over] with the subject of “I Can Play.” In the body of the email, include your Full Name, Age and an email address at which we can notify you if you’ve won. On August 22 we’ll select the winner and notify him/her immediately. Then, just make sure you reply to that notification message within 72 hours, or we’ll select another name.
