Contrary to popular opinion, the Grand Theft Auto series hasn’t always been a massive hit. It wasn’t until GTA 3 that the franchise began blowing people away with its open-world mayhem. So here we are, with the next-gen consoles in more than 20 million homes, and the fifth entry in the series continues to wow gamers worldwide. Still, it’s clear that many people still don’t own the game, so we thought our readers might like to win GTA 5 for PlayStation 4. Here’s your chance. And it’s free.
GTA 5 for PS4 has taken all the bells and whistles from the PC version and put them in a nice, glossy console package. For instance, the PS4 version of the game has increased draw distances, higher resolution, new activities, new weapons, new vehicles, additional wildlife to hunt, denser traffic and enhanced damage and weather effects.
Many parents will pass judgment on the ability to abuse pedestrians in a higher resolution. We’ll just say “it’s a technical achievement only possible on the PS4” and call it good. The moral call isn’t ours to make.
One of the nicer updates with GTA 4 on PS4 is the addition of some new features to GTA Online, perhaps the best one being that it now supports up to 30 online players. Even if you’re not into the objectionable campaign, that 30-person mayhem is certainly reason enough to consider trying to win this free game.
