The new big-budget Predators film got some attention in the theaters, and its recent release on DVD and Blu-ray warranted a few purchases and rentals as well. But the concept for Predators — seeing who’s really the prey, the hunters or the hunted — isn’t an entirely original concept. So, much like we’re an independent Web site, we’ve decided to give an independent film some love that has a similar tone to Predators by giving away one brand new DVD of it. The film? Hunter Prey.
Directed by Sandy Collora, Hunter Prey falls right in line with the humans vs. aliens hunter/hunted genre. The Prometheus has dropped out of orbit, and its communications and life support systems are down. Situation critical: the status of the crew and prisoner are unknown. With orders to catch their alien prisoner alive, the surviving crew of the spaceship Prometheus pursues a dangerous game of cat and mouse with their escaped prisoner on a barren planet. But as the chase unfolds, the question soon becomes “who is the hunter, and who is its prey?”
