2 year anniversary for iPad App adds Retina Graphics and Chalk Tools

April 13, 2012 by Sara Leave a Comment

Delaware, Canada – Drawing Pad came out on April 2, 2010 just one day before the iPad hit store shelves. Version 1.0 was a remarkable App that stayed in the top charts. Along the way, Drawing Pad has been continually improved and won several awards, including a Parents Choice Gold award.

In version 2.3, we are introducing high resolution graphics to take full advantage of the 3rd generation iPad display capabilities. Drawing Pad has never looked better! Colors are more vibrant and the tools appear to jump off the screen thanks to amazing pixel density of the Retina display built into the third generation iPad.

Also new in version 2.3 is Chalk! Includes a wide assortment of pastel colors and both a green chalkboard and black chalkboard.

Already in 9 languages, Version 2.3 of Drawing Pad adds 12 new languages; Korean, Swedish, Portuguese, Danish, Hungarian, Polish, Norwegian, Turkish, Arabic, Hebrew, Indonesian, and Traditional Chinese. Existing languages include English, German, Spanish, Russian, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Dutch, Italian, and French.

We are also proud to announce new enhancements like “Current Tool Indicator” and “Full Screen Mode.” When you select a tool, it slides out to indicate your selection and when you close your tool drawer, the undo and redo arrows appear in the corner. Now you can create art using the entire canvas and still have quick access to undo mistakes.

Additionally, we have added two new coloring books to our in app store; Transportation and Space. Kids can color over 58 new pages of original artwork made specifically for Drawing Pad. The new Space Coloring Book includes 27 pages of fun scenes like planets, asteroids, rockets, space ships, aliens and more. Transportation includes 31 pages of fast and slow moving vehicles like an Airplane, ATV, bicycle, blimp, cruise ship, sailboat, bulldozer, race car, forklift, skateboard, helicopter, submarine, train, firetruck, and more.
