Stockholm, Sweden – Apprope announces a free version of Classic Kings 1.00 (also known as “Ring of Fire” or “King’s Cup”) , but partygoers will likely be downloading its crazy variations. For people looking to get wasted, flirtatious, social, or playfully vengeful, this company has tailored a Kings deck for them. There is even a child-friendly version of the game for alcohol-free parties.
No cards are needed for these versions of Kings, just an iPhone, iPod, or iPad. When the screen is tapped, a new card is drawn and its specific rule is explained. The game is easy to use, and there’s no need to go scrambling around looking for a 52-card deck to get the party started.
If players are bored of playing the same old, traditional Kings game, the new variations will mix it up in the best way possible. Each variation allows the players to take the party in the direction they want it to go. In total, there are six extra decks: “Wasted”, “Dirty”, “Evil”, “Social”, “Trivia” and “Mormon”.
The “Wasted” variation is rather straightforward. It presents dares – which players take at their own risks – specifically designed to get the party tipsy. From chugging contests to guessing games with consequences, this version of Kings was clearly designed to “blur” the lines of tradition.
The “Dirty and Daring” variation gets players out of their comfort zones (and sometimes out of their clothes). From confessions to kissing, these rules are designed to steam up any old Kings game.
The “Evil” variation is a game of playful punishment. Each card prompts players to hide each other’s drinks, spill each other’s secrets, or put each other in difficult positions.
The “Social” version involves challenges that prompt socialization with the outer world. From Facebook posts and texts to ding dong ditch, this variation of Kings is designed to expand the network of the party. Meanwhile, the “Trivia” variation gets partiers thinking on their toes, from naming animal species on a chosen continent to listing as many bands as possible in a genre. The “Mormon” version assigns fun, alcohol-free games to each card number.
