Compatible with the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, this goofy recreation app is equal parts personal burping diary and socially engaging challenge! Burp World turns the everyday hilarity of burping into a mobile distraction that looks – well, really “sounds” come to think of it – unlike anything else out there today.
The idea is simple: Users record their burps, let the app’s advanced algorithms analyze them for overall intensity and awesomeness (it’s all top secret technology that even we don’t fully understand), and gives them a score out of 100. Burp Worlders can even compete to see who has the most burp points via various leader boards. Burp World is currently available for download on the App Store for $0.99 USD in the Entertainment category.
As simple yet curiously enjoyable as the real thing, Burp World gives users a few easy options to get going once they power up the app. The most popular option – laying at the core of the app’s 1st main module – is to get straight to the burping, recording all the action as it happens via the app’s burp-o-meter. Once finished users’ burp stats will automatically be saved into Burp Worlds 2nd main module, the “My Burbs” section. This intuitive “burp log” module shows users when they recorded various burps and features a concise dot graph section allowing them to track the quality of their burps over time (users can also use their saved burp data points to do some high-level regression or trend analysis too, possibly to uncover the hidden meaning behind their burping and the ultimate “why” of it all, if that’s the type of thing they’re into).
Burp World doesn’t make users keep the fun to themselves either. They’re free to invite friends to join in via Game Center! Competitive burpers can track their own highest scores, accumulated scores from the world’s top burp artists, or see how players stack up by country. There’s a whole world of burps to discover, and with Burp World it’s not only a gas, it’s right at your fingertips.
