Flip Runner is your standard endless runner with a fresh pair of running shoes. Flip, the game’s protagonist, runs along the center of the screen and jumps into the clouds above only to shoot out of the bottom, running upside down! As Flip runs lightning bolts and shields will appear. These two power ups are simple and sweet. Grabbing the shield will keep Flip alive for one hit of a hazard, but the speed boost is where its at. Flip Runner also has an in-game shop. Money is accumulated 1 of 2 ways; running or in-app purchase. Flip can earn about $1 for every 150m ran, but if that isn’t fast enough for you, you can also buy currency packs and a money doubler via the game’s shop. The game shop has a few items like starting with boost, starting with shield, or double money for one round, but the most robust area of the shop is the hats. Flip can sport 25 different hats a heads that you can buy using all your hard earned money.
The game play is familiar and solid, the shop and achievements keep you running, and the game’s soundtrack is fun and catchy. Flip runner is a clean and simple endless runner that will make for a great addition to your mobile devices library of games.
