Users must guide the title character, a highly skilled mercenary named Frankie Pain, through 13 levels of alien invaders and complete 4 different battles with alien leaders, or Bosses. They’ll get help from The Professor, a genius of the highest order and military scientist who supplies the high tech weaponry. Users will also pick up achievements and power-ups along the way to aid them in battle.
The primary mission is to destroy aliens and save the Earth, but Frankie has a different objective in mind. Am’Elam is the leader of the alien invasion on Earth, and Frankie Pain plans to engage this enemy and exact his revenge for past transgressions. When they last met, Am’Elam beat Pain easily, causing him to run and hide. His utter humiliation has made vengeance his main focus. In true anti-hero style, the Earth’s safety is not important to his goal.
