Harmonix Releases First In-House iOS App, VidRhythm

September 8, 2011 by Sara Leave a Comment

Apple logoHarmonix today released VidRhythm, an entertainment application that allows you to remix your world and make instantly sharable “video music” starring you and your friends. The app is available now in the App Store for $1.99 for use with iPad 2, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and iPod touch (4th generation).

VidRhythm uses the (front- or rear-facing) camera and microphone on your iOS device to put the app owner into music videos. With 20 tracks including songs like “Flight of the Bumblebee” and “Maple Leaf Rag,” VidRhythm injects users’ sounds and visuals into a variety of genres and styles, then sets them against a variety of backgrounds.

Videos are sharable with one click to YouTube, Facebook or via the device’s photo roll.

To download VidRhythm, check out the official VidRhythm page in the App Store.

VidRhythm is Harmonix’s first fully in-house iOS app.
