In Hotel Story, players can build the resort of their dreams. They will be able to customize the resort in an isometric view, manage facilities, decorations, and invest in projects which will help grow the town in which the resort is built upon. In addition, players will also have access to 14 different types of facilities, and 18 unique tourist types. They can also show off their resort with fellow Hoteliers online:
Coins and Diamonds:
* The way to earn coins in the game is simply waiting for the tourists to visit the facilities, and the coins will accumulate in the facility’s “coin box”, which has a max limit
* Players will need to click on the coin icon above the facility to collect coins
* Players have a max coin capacity shown on the status window (top left)
* To increase player’s max coin capacity, they need to upgrade the resort by clicking on the reception, and then the upgrade button
* Players will have quests, such as building a bedroom, upgrade bedroom to level 2, etc
* Special quests will appear sometimes to unlock new variations of tourists like Businessman, Singers, Couples, etc Some useful items are unlocked together as well
* Quest rewards are usually diamonds (Premium Currency)
Facilities and Decorations:
* Facilities have 3 stats: Max Earnings, Usage Fee, and Appeal
* Max Earnings is the max amount that the facility can store before the player collects it
* Usage Fee is the amount that tourists will pay per visit to the facility
* Appeal determines how fast the tourists will level up when they use the facility
* Decorations give a boost to Appeal for nearby facilities Facilities directly adjacent to the Decorations will receive 100% bonus, wheres diagonally 50%
* There are consumable items which can be used on facilities to increase their Appeal and Usage Fee (Example: Pillow can be used effectively in Bedrooms)
* These items can be bought with coins from the Item Shop just outside the resort
* Players can only construct or upgrade 2 facilities at the same time
* To increase the number of facilities they can construct/upgrade, they need to buy more workers (the Green + symbol in the top left window)
Tourists:
* They usually comes with limited coins to spend in the resort
* As they level up while using the facilities, they will be able to bring more coins during the next visit
* They will also find consumable items at random while in the resort
Tours:
* Players can conduct tours to earn bonus money and items at their next play session
* Tours can be set at the Tour Center just outside the resort (building with a girl in it)
* They can set timers of 2, 4, 8, 12 Hrs respectively
* The longer the duration, the higher the rewards, and item finding chance increase as well
* Tours need to be set to a target player If the target player responds within the time period, coin and item finding chance increases
Social Features:
* Players can visit the people on the leaderboard ranking by clicking on the trophy icon on the left side
* They can Follow/UnFollow, similar to twitter, the people they visit by clicking on the top left button on the screen in the visited player’s resort
* To add a friend they know, they need to have that friend’s ID, which can be found by clicking the social button (the icon with 3 person on the right side of the main screen)
* They can then search the player by clicking on the “Find Friend” tab in the social window
* Currently the max followers each player can have is 50
