International Mobile Gaming Award Winners Announced

Barcelona, Spain – The winners of the International Mobile Gaming Awards were announced today at the end of a day-long summit held in the heart of the Mobile World Congress. The winners of the different categories were as follows:

Grand Prix:
* Infinity Blade II by ChAIR Entertainment, USA

Judges Honorable Mention:
* Contre Jour by Mokus Games, Ukraine

People’s Choice Awards:
* Flick Tennis by Rolocule Games, India

Best Casual Game:
* Sprinkle by Mediocre AB, Sweden

Best Real World Game:
* Meatspace Invasion by C4MProd, France

Best Sports Game:
* Touchgrind BMX by Illusion Labs AB, Sweden

Best Mobile Social Game:
* Charadium II by On5, Lithuania

Excellence In Gameplay:
* Infinity Blade IIby ChAIR Entertainment, USA

Most Innovative Game:
* Superbrothers:Sword & Sworcery EP by Capy, Canada

ChAIR, which is a subsidiary of Epic Games, declared that they were “truly humbled” in a video message broadcast in front of the IMGA audience. In addition to the Grand Prix, Infinity Blade II also won the Excellence in Gameplay award.

The winners receive 100,000 Euro of free publicity from ProSieben Sat1 Games, one of the IMGA’s Platinum sponsors, with the overall winner receiving 400,000 Euro of free publicity.

During the last eight years the IMGA has reviewed more than 2,000 mobile games from more than 52 countries including the USA, Ukraine, Israel, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, China, the Czech Republic, Brazil and Belgium. Participants include PhD students, researchers, artists, individual developers and the top ten mobile games publishers and developers in the world.
