Jewel Thieves: Knight’s Armor is available for free in the Apple App Store today, a new perspective on the classic match-three puzzle style game with a physics twist. Knight’s Armor is the first episode of the Jewel Thieves Series, and universally available for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
Players travel back into medieval times to help collect jewels from the evil King Putz, who has stolen all of the jewels from the townspeople of Schmodie. The objective of the game is to match three or more of the same color jewels by sliding a finger across them. When three or more jewels are lit up and the user releases their finger, the jewel will burst and be collected. Players can choose to play within three different game play modes: Adventure, Lightning, and Zen. Adventure Mode offers 90 levels of game play, Lightning Mode is a 60 second challenge against time, and Zen Mode is a slow-paced, relaxing setting. Players can also choose up to five boosters at a time to help with challenging levels.
“What sets Knight’s Armor and the entire Jewel Thieves Series apart from the rest is the use of natural physics. Most match-three games use the typical switch or tap-and-fall methods. We utilize a physics based engine to let the jewels flow by the actions of the user. This also makes for fast-paced, challenging decisions because every action has a reaction,” said Paul Rivera, President of Konig Studios, LLC.
Plans and schedules are in place to expand Knight’s Armor with regular updates to include more Adventure Packs, enhance and expand boosters, add more game play modes, incorporate game center achievements, increase in-level challenges, and much more. Konig Studios is also already planning a second episode.
