Island Battles, a real-time strategy (RTS) game requiring players to manage resources and outwit opponents to conquer islands, has “real time” gameplay in a way beyond just its genre label. It also includes real-time multiplayer support, which is uncommon in iOS games.
In Island Battles, players simply tap an island that they control or drag their finger across the screen to select multiple islands, then tap on a destination island. Players can either challenge nearby friends or opponents around the world through real-time multiplayer via Game Center. In the single-player campaign, each victory moves players closer to earning a higher rank. An integrated store allows players to purchase power ups to assist them and give them an edge over opponents.
