Seoul, Korea – Digitalfrog today is pleased to introduce Panicky Angel 1.0.0 for iOS, their new fairy tale arcade Game that requires players to use both tilt and touch controls helping the little angel, Rika. She is trying to regain the contents of the box of angel wings she lost while on an errand, and players must tilt their iDevice to collect power-ups and avoid obstacles, and they must destroy attacking enemy birds by touch. Collecting Rings and Gems allows players to recover the lost angel wings. The game includes 60 stages, including defense, speed, and boss stages over five zones, including: Grassland, South Pole, Zombie City, Sea Island, and Sky. An endless mode is unlocked after completion of all five zones.
Rika is a determined little angel who set out to deliver a special box containing angel wings that would enable other angels to fly. However, en route to delivering this box, Rika collided head-on with a red feathered bird. The collision broke the box open, and the wings scattered all around the world. Rika explained to the Supreme Being what had happened, and He became furious. He ordered her to go search for all of the lost wings and deliver them as planned. If Rika fails in her mission, she will no longer be allowed into Heaven. Prayer will not save her now, only skillful gameplay.
* Fast, fun arcade game with fairy tale graphics and animation
* Avoid enemies and obstacles guiding Rika the angel using tilt control
* Obliterate attacking birds using touch control
* Recover the lost angel wings
* Travel deeper and deeper into an imaginative fairy tale world with 60 stages and five zones
Panicky Angel features fantastical graphics and animation. It achieves a convincing simulation of moving forward in space through the imaginative use of several layers of 2D animation. Z-scrollers are more difficult to construct than X or Y scrollers, and players have the opportunity to enjoy fast-paced action, fairy tale environments, and dynamic forward motion.
A fairly complex arcade game, Panicky Angel offers an enormous variety of gameplay, including changing time of day and weather conditions at every stage. There are numerous gauges, displays, and readouts along the top of the screen, and the white-bearded Supreme Being holds the score multiplier on a digital display in front of Him. Other continuously updating numerical readouts are: Score, Rings, and Distance traveled. Players can view: their wing duration on a spent per/stage gauge, type of wing selected, their skill count, the three components of their wing’s status, skills purchased, and repairs purchased.
“The gameplay is very smooth using both touch and tilt controls, and the fairy tale graphics beautifully illustrate the game’s action,” commented Tae Youn Noh of Digitalfrog. “The sounds are exciting as players tilt-navigate and remove attacking birds. Panicky Angel is a captivating, imaginative game for players of all ages.”
