Pilot’s Path – Remotely Controlled Helicopter – Available for OS X

April 2, 2013 by Sara Leave a Comment

The Mac version of Pilot’s Path, an AirPlay enabled old school helicopter flying game, is now available. The search and rescue, gather and trade gameplay guides a player through the story of a former USAF pilot, which, dishonorably discharged after an accident with an expensive military plane, makes his way back to the sky doing missions for criminal underground bosses – the path is nicely rendered and lies through beautiful cut scenes.

“Creating Pilot’s Path we wanted a game that would really use amazing possibilities the Mac and iOS platforms give. It’s too bad, nowadays there are only a very few games using AirPlay beyond simple screen mirroring, not fully employing extra screen space in multi-device configurations. To our knowledge, today Pilot’s Path is so far the only game that puts it all together in a right way.” – says Alexander Novoselov, the co-founder and CEO of Happymagenta.

As an excellent technical demonstration of Mac OS X and iOS possibilities, Pilot’s Path is a like collectible gem, a must have for passionate gamers, that have a Mac and one or more iOS devices to be used as a wireless remote controller.

Connecting a remote wireless joystick is easy as tapping a “Remote” button in the game. The process is fully automatic and requires neither a shaman dancing nor any extra setup. The game and all menus are fully managed remotely and, in case the connection is dropped, it automatically restores – no need to leave a cozy sofa to change game settings, to save or load the game, or to reconnect after answering a phone call.

A free wireless remote controller joystick companion app comes along.
