Sphero Glide, An Exhilarating 3D Flight Simulator, Lands on KickStarter

November 8, 2012 by Sara Leave a Comment

Mukilteo, Washington – Arc Agile Technologies has launched its Kickstarter campaign for Sphero Glide, a Robotic-gyro controlled 3D Flight Simulator for the iPad, iPhone, and Android. Sphero Glide uses the Unity3D engine to take on integrated real gliding physics, allowing players to experience a smooth gliding adventure as they fly through the diverse terrains and maps that are seen in the game.

Sphero Glide separates itself from most mobile apps by using the Sphero, which introduces players to how a hands-on and realistic a flying game would be using a controller that could accurately simulate flight dynamics! Sphero Glide has opened up a portal to a land of infinite possibilities. Don’t own a sphero? Arc Agile Technologies has created some great ‘Backing’ levels to help you out! Here’s the Great news! Sphero Glide can be played with both your smart-device’s accelerometer and Sphero!

Sphero Glide has been under development by the Graika brothers, founders of Arc Afile Technologies, for the past 3 months. At the present moment, features in Sphero Glide include numerous fast-paced objectives. Compete against your friends in a handful of competitive game modes, including: bowling, timed-circuits and stunt modes. The company is now ready to finish the game and hopes to raise at least $10k on Kickstarter.

Kickstarter campaigns are “all or nothing”, meaning Arc Agile Technologies will have 37 days to raise at least $10k or no money is collected from backers and Sphero Glide won’t be funded. As a reward for supporting the game, backers receive Kickstarter-exclusive content that won’t be available once the game is available for general sale. This exclusive content includes an in-game avatar of yourself or anyone you request added into the game, 20 minutes Kickstarter campaign Q/A with the Graika brothers via video chat over Skype, a Sphero Robotic ball, a Sphero Glide T-shirt, an Exclusive Bat Glider, and a personal Thank You letter signed by the Graika brothers.

More details on Sphero Glide’s goals can be found on their Kickstarter page. A video, which can also be found on YouTube, can be seen showing the Graika brothers introducing the general gameplay features of the game and Kickstarter rewards.
