The Next Sudoku Has Arrived

December 4, 2012 by Sara Leave a Comment

Niwot, Colorado – LameSauce Software announces Gryptics 2.0.1 for iOS. Gryptics is a new type of puzzle game created by Les Foeldessy. It can be imagined as a crossword puzzle with no clues, or even Sudoku with words.

I don’t always solve puzzle apps; but when I do, I prefer Gryptics. Why? Because this sultry and deceptively simple game combines the logic rush of Sudoku with the wordplay of crosswords, and its 2.0.1 version (iPhone friendly!) is now available free in the iTunes Store.

The rules are simple: solvers must fill a 6×6 grid with letters to form twelve long words that course through it like mighty, raging rivers. That’s it! You’re given a few letters in and around the grid to get you started, plus up to three hints along the way. As in Scrabble, no proper names are used in Gryptics.

The app is free and comes with 10 puzzles; additional bundles are available for 99 cents each, ranging in difficulty, from easy to killer.

Gryptics is crosswords evolved, so evolve along with us. Won’t you?

Device Requirements:
* iPhone 3GS/4/4S/5, iPod touch (3rd/4th/5th generation), and iPad
* Requires iOS 6.0 or later
* Universal app optimized for display on all iOS devices
* 18.6 MB

Pricing and Availability:
Gryptics 2.0.1 is free and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Games category.
