Two versions of a new game, Ultimate Arm Wrestling, are headed to the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch (running on iOS 4.2) or later. The versions, as you might expect, are “paid” and “free,” as is often the case with iOS games. Ultimate Arm Wrestling is an arcade game at heart, as it has players guide their wrist warrior to victory by clicking a randomly moving button as accurately and as quickly as possible.
The paid version of Ultimate Arm Wrestling is $0.99.
Ultimate Arm Wrestling for iOS throws players into a battle between Red and Blue. Red’s Arm is their weapon, and a simple red button is their trigger. The app includes both a single-player Survival Mode and a Versus mode that allows two live players to go head-to-head for arm-wrestling supremacy. Survival Mode includes 10 sequentially more challenging levels, each of which features increasingly more powerful opponents and a control button that moves around faster and faster.
Players’ mission is to rack up as many points as possible until they either claim victory or lose a match. Points are calculated based on how far and how quickly players can pass the game. Ultimate Arm Wrestling’s Versus mode, as the name implies, allows two live players to face off one a single mobile device as they attempt to strike opposing red and blue control buttons faster than the other to win.
