As chief developer Lane Thompson puts it, “We were setting out to make a fun game, and we succeeded. But in testing, we learned that the skills Woven fostered helped in mathematical problem solving and spatial visualization.” Even the easiest levels require planning up to ten steps ahead. And pivotally, it’s a game people want to play.
When you hear math, your mind immediately jumps to addition, subtraction, and painful school memories. But that is only a small part of mathematics, and has little bearing on mathematical ability.

Woven is the sophomore effort of OatyCakes Development. After developing the top word game WordSlots, they knew that there would be high expectations for the next game. The goal is to drag ribbons to match the color on a peg. Sound easy? If you can plan ahead and envision what’s going to happen several moves ahead, you’ll move quickly to the more challenging levels.
